Question by Jake: How is weight lost in decomposing matter?
Like say I have a bottle filled with grass clippings, if I poke a few holes in the top and leave it for 3 weeks the weight after 3 weeks will be less than when it was previously. So how exactly is the weight lost? Where does it go? Links welcome thanks.
